The title The Goldberg Variations evokes not only Bach's masterpiece, but also choreographer Steve Paxton's solo - an iconic moment in the history of Western dance. Working from these references, Michiel Vandevelde accompanied by Audrey Merilus and Oskar Stalpaert (Platform-K) delve into forty years of dance history. A musical transposition for accordion played by Philippe Thuriot joins the polyphony of bodies and their multiple variations. As a result of this fascinating cross-pollination, the show is a testimony of time and a reception of it.
