Marta Zapparoli is an Italian sound artist based in Berlin, whose work focuses on the sound exploration of radio and electromagnetic phenomena. A key element of the Berlin experimental scene, she is a member of several musical formations and collectives that have been instrumental in developing new forms of sonic and musical expression. There is clear resonance with the work of Sonoscopia, not only on an aesthetic level, but also in the ethics of building collaborative networks, mutual support, DIY and sonic activism, that extends to various current issues related to the role of the artist as an element of awareness and social transformation.
