Três Tristes Tigres (TTT) were born in the ides of 1990, around a cheap tape recorder. Ana Deus and Regina Guimarães were informally making collages and songs prior to the formation that would result in their first CD. The first concerts at Aniki-Bobó (Ana Deus e Paula Sousa on stage, Regina Guimarães off stage) had a pop cabaret feel, between the poetic and the corrosive. Partes Sensíveis (1993) would be the sign for TTT’s first formation.
It is then that the collaboration between Ana Deus and Alexandre Soares, who had joined the band as a guest musician, deepens. With the change in sound from that artistic adventure, two CDs with original song arise – Guia Espiritual (1996) and Comum (1998) – and a compilation, Visita de Estudo, which contains revisitations, some separated, from earlier compositions. Besides the tours to publicise their albums, the small TTT planet has produced objects in varied sizes, namely the concert “Ferida Consentida” and songs for movies by Saguenail and João Canijo
The band was reunited in 2017, invited by Teatro Rivoli in Porto, to play Guia Espiritual and, in 2020, they return to the studio with the acclaimed Mínima Luz.
To this day, Ana Deus and Alexandre Soares also keep a working relationin projects related to film, theatre and dance, and in the Osso Vaidoso collective, with two albums released in 2011 and 2016, with a strong poetry and minimal instrumentation component, essentially based in guitar and electronic works.
