Brazilian electronic music band with performative and audiovisual dimensions, TETO PRETO established itself as one of the leading figures in MAMBA NEGRA Festival and the independent underground scene of São Paulo led by women and LGBTQIAPN+. Founded by Laura Diaz in 2014, the band brings together artists and sounds from different parts of Brazil, currently including musician Matheus Câmara and multi-instrumentalist Marian Sarine on the musical front, and choreographer and dancer Juana Chi and Puri Yaguarete on the performative front.
Unforgettable and surprising, TETO PRETO constantly renews itself. The same multiplicity of genres that allows it to flow unimpeded through the reality of the various stages it occupies manifests itself in a freedom of formats that allows it to materialize in many other artistic and audiovisual contexts. After all, what defines the experience and sound of TETO PRETO is traversing through all musical genres and artistic languages to represent everything experienced on the dance floors – things that remain unnamed.
To celebrate their 11th anniversary, the band is currently travelling the world on their TETOUR to present their second album, FALA (2024). Featuring 10 new tracks, FALA weaves a dense web of unexpected elements that connect dubstep, acid, drum'n'bass, techno, house, electro, industrial, jazz, punk, and reggaeton with piercing guitars, furious synths, wicked basslines, and psychedelic percussion that intertwine with sharp vocal lines and convulsive, hypnotic choruses. To see, listen to and dance in the Prado Stage of Serralves em Festa 2025.
