Spiritualized, English band formed by Jason Pierce (aka J. Spaceman) in 1990, bring their unique sound, that was once described as belonging to the space rock, neo-psychadelia, experimental rock and garage rock subgenres, to Serralves em Festa.

With nine studio albums under their belt, J. Spacemand & co. present their newest work, Everything Was Beautiful, released in 2022. In it, Spaceman plays 16 different instruments, having also employed more than 30 musicians and singers, including his daughter Poppy and long-time collaborator and friend John Coxon.

The opening track, “Always Together With You”, is a reworking/supercharging of a track originally released as a demo in 2024. It’s the perfect example of a Spiritualized song, a breathtaking, hard-edged, psychedelic pop tune, where themes of high romance and space travel collide.

In this album, J. Spaceman recalls the lessons learned from the classic Ladies and Gentlemen We Are Floating in Space to refine the transformative power of his music’s hypnotic density and construction. In its whole, the album results in of the most “live” sounding recordings since Live at the Albert Hall’s release in 1998. We will be able to confirm its peculiar intensity, first hand, in Serralves em Festa 2025.
