“Visit or Memories and Confessions” is a guided tour through Manoel de Oliveira’s personal universe, showing us the house where he lived for over 40 years, as he talks to us about his cinema: his convictions and his doubts, the films he made and still wanted to make. Filmed in 1981 with the prior decision that it would only be presented posthumously, “Visit” offers both an overview of his oeuvre and a film that projects itself into the future. For this film, Agustina Bessa-Luís wrote a dialogue entitled The House, dedicated to Oliveira and his wife, Maria Isabel Carvalhais.
